Give the mail carriers a break. Is anyone complaining about UPS or Fed-Ex not working on Saturdays? People are complaining that seniors wont get their checks on Saturdays. What? When the banks were closed on Saturdays all of their checks were delivered before the weekend. Besides the mailman is tired of fighting blocked mailboxes on the weekend cause cars are parked in front of them especially on the weekend. Why? Cause all of you who are complaining are off on the weekend!!!!!

A competitive market place requires new products not long lines at Post Offices due to a lack of window clerks. Mr. Potter is to old school to make the changes needed to save the Postal Service. Packaging services need to be expanded by new deals that work for all shippers and customers. The Postal Service needs to advertise it’s strengths more effectively regarding delivery and security. Increasing delivery options and incentives on Saturdays would be a better option than cutting service. OIG needs to find out why management nationwide is bloated with so many managers and supervisors checking on a smaller workforce. In conclusion, new product innovation and making all unions true blue partners with the goal of solving all problems, will require a Postmaster General with
better skills than BP executives trying to cap and oil well in the Gulf of Mexico!
