Among the concerns addressed were the declining volume of mail handled by the Postal Service, declining Postal Service revenues, increasing postal rates, and the Postal Service escrow account. The top priorities expressed were maintaining the viability of the Postal Service, and protecting universal service and frequent delivery. Rep. Davis chaired this joint meeting.
